Troy Lewis, PGA professional and owner of the TGA Premier Junior Golf (TGA) franchises in Denton, Tarrant and Collin Counties has been awarded the 2012 Randy Smith Junior Golf Leader award by the North Texas Section of the PGA of America (NTPGA).
“I’m honored to be recognized among so many great golf professionals who have a passion for reaching kids through the game of golf,” said Lewis. “The PGA Professionals in our section have set a high standard for excellence and we hope to lead the promotion of junior golf across the nation for the PGA of America.”
The NTPGA members selected Lewis, the PGA director of instruction at The Golf Club at Fossil Creek, for his achievement in developing successful junior golf programs, which are positively impacting youth and growing the game.
Lewis has built one of the leading junior golf programs in the state of Texas through his successful TGA Premier Junior Golf franchises, which he launched in 2006. The TGA programs are engaging students at over 50 elementary and middle schools, as well as two partner golf courses in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
