Winter-break camps: Warmth, focus and fun

We have three great locations for TGA students to stay focused on their games, stay warm and have fun during winter break — one on the east side (Indoor Golf Club of Michigan in Fraser), one central (Evolution Sportsplex in Auburn Hills) and one on the west side (On the Dunes in Commerce Township).

All camps are three days — Thursday, Dec. 27; Friday, Dec. 28; and Monday, Dec. 31.  You can choose either a morning or afternoon session — 9:30 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3:30 p.m.

This will be our eighth year at Evolution Sportsplex, where kids hit full shots in the dome, plus spend time in Rick Coatta’s studio for video swing analysis and the chance to play famous golf courses on the simulator. Rick is the teaching pro at Evolution Sportsplex, as well as golf coach at Oakland Community College and a veteran TGA after-school instructor.

This will be our sixth winter-break camp at Indoor Golf Club of Michigan, which features a full-swing hitting area, plus putting green, chipping area and simulators. Lee Longstreet, TGA instructor and teaching pro at the Indoor Golf Club of Michigan, will provide video swing analysis. The kids spend the last hour each day playing golf courses on the simulator.

This will be our third year at On the Dunes, which has state-of-the-art simulators, plus a putting green. Coaches will guide kids through instruction and simulated golf rounds, with amazing views of famous golf courses.

Cost for winter-break camp is $149. There is a $10 per child discount if you register more than one family member. Use coupon code TGAFamily if registering two or more golfers.
