COMPANY DESCRIPTION:  TGA Premier Youth Tennis, in partnership with the Southern California Tennis Association (SCTA), manages playground based during and after school tennis enrichment programs, for students grades PK-8 at public and private schools throughout the San Fernando Valley, a suburb of Los Angeles. Weekly on court junior and adult clinics, USTA Play Days/Festivals, private lessons and seasonal camps are also offered to students and their families.

JOB TITLE:  School and Court Based Enrichment Tennis Coach for the SCTA and TGA Premier Youth Tennis.

TYPE:  Part-Time at locations in the San Fernando Valley, including: Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, West Hills, Chatsworth, North Hollywood, Northridge, Chatsworth, Mulholland, Granada Hills, Porter Ranch, Calabasas, Woodland Hills

WAGE/SALARY:  Head Coaches: $40-$50/Class;  Assistant Coaches $30-$40/Class

DAYS/HOURS:  Flexible schedules, Monday- Friday/ 2-4 hrs in the afternoons (12pm-5pm); seasonal weekday school demos; weekend and weekday evening clinics, private lessons for USPTA/PTR professionals; Junior Team Tennis coaching and seasonal camp hours available.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must enjoy working with children and have previous experience working with them. A great opportunity for sports coaches, USPTA Certified Tennis Professionals, Educators, Early Education Specialists, Student Teachers, Kinesiology/Sports Science grads and Veterans. Tennis, fitness, youth sports coaching and/or classroom teaching experience preferred. SCTA/TGA trains all employees on teaching methods and curriculum. Most important qualification is your demonstrated enthusiasm and passion to inspire our students’ excitement for the game of tennis and fitness. Strong leadership skills are also required. A reliable source of transportation is a necessity. CPR/First Aid training is recommended. All coaches complete NCSI background, Live Scan,Virtus certification, Mandated Reporter certification and TB tests. JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties include instructing students grades PK-8 during and after school with our nationally recognized team of coaches. Enrichment classes are held on school grounds
for 1.5-4 hours a day. Instructors deliver proven curriculum on the fundamentals of tennis, fitness and the rules of the game. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) experiments, utilizing tennis and fitness gear, along with other fun adaptable academics which are part of the daily curriculums. Coaches also have the opportunity to work seasonal weekday school demos; SCTA Play Days/Festivals; weekend and weekday evening clinics, private lessons for USPTA/ PTR professionals; Junior Team Tennis coaching; seasonal camps.
