TGA Premier Youth Tennis brings tennis onto elementary and middle school campuses across America through enrichment programs that incorporate physical activity, character development and academic-based lessons. TGA conducts a five level skill development program for K-3 grade students and a play-based program for 4-8 grade students through curriculums developed in partnership between the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and TGA’s Education Specialists. TGA focuses on instilling a passion for tennis within each child while promoting advancement, achievement and the attainment of life skills that can be utilized on and off a tennis court. As students matriculate through the school-based programs, TGA provides opportunities for them to apply the skills they’re learning through transition programs at local tennis facilities such as camps, clinics and USTA initiatives.
All TGA programs serve as an extension of the classroom by incorporating the following components:
- Tennis instruction that is age-appropriate and effective
- Character development lessons through our initiative "Play the Fair Way with TGA"
- Physical education and fitness
- Rules & Etiquette lessons
- Academic lessons in math, science, history and English
TGA students receive a Student Handbook that includes these lessons along with achievement awards as they advance levels. TGA provides all equipment, including racquets, balls and portable nets that are age-appropriate and allow us to safely create tennis courts on any hard surface indoors or out. All TGA instructors are properly screened and certified through an extensive training program.
