USTA NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP

TGA and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) have partnered to provide at-school tennis access to children through programs that build life values and instill confidence through achievement. As children advance through TGA's five level enrichment program, we educate them and their families about the opportunities to continue playing through initiatives including USTA Junior Team Tennis and USTA Junior Tournaments. Tennis Camps

TGA Tennis camps focus on providing a fun atmosphere for youth of all ages and skill levels to further develop their passion for tennis, build friendships and create lifelong memories.  TGA camps are held during the summer, winter and spring breaks and include day camps at tennis facilities, school-based camps, and camps in conjunction with other youth organizations.  TGA camps are staffed by certified TGA instructors who focus on improving each camper’s tennis skills and ensuring that they have fun by experiencing success through expertly designed lesson plans.

West Wake County Tennis Camp Information

As a national partner of the USTA, TGA implements many of the USTA's 10 and Under Tennis teaching techniques in our afterschool enrichment programs. This helps the students work on their fundamental motor skills (agility, balance, coordination, hand-eye, etc.) in order to rally and play tennis quicker & easier. We build off of this teaching concept and take it to the next level at our summer tennis camps! We use all of the USTA 10 and Under equipment which means smaller courts, kids-sized racquets & lower compression balls so the students can learn quicker and have more fun! Students do not need to be a part of TGA's afterschool program to participate in a TGA camp. Each camp is open to tennis players of all levels in K-5th grade and beginner level players in 6th-8th grade.

Each week of tennis camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We leave Friday open each week in the event that we have to cancel a day earlier in the week due to inclement weather. For those parents who do not have the ability to make it to the tennis courts at theses times, we also offer an early drop-off (8 a.m.) and late pick-up (4 p.m.). Each option is $25 for the week.

All of our tennis camps are held at the tennis courts of Holly Springs High School. Each day of camp includes station-based morning instruction working on the fundamentals and getting warmed up. After a mid-morning snack, the last hour of the morning will be spent in various play-based formats. During lunch we will have a rules & etiquette lesson and the half-day campers will head home. The last two hours in the afternoon will be spent doing various tennis games & drills and a final round-robin event. Each registration includes all court fees, daily snack (apple or banana), and a TGA goody bag. The cost of a full-day, 4-day camp is $229.

Think a full-day, 4-day camp is too much for your tennis star? We also offer half-day, 4-day tennis camps for $120. The half-day camps run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the ability to stay for the lunch and rules & etiquette hour.
