As we head into the semi-finals of the Australian Open, we have one final tip from our Brand Ambassador, Leylah Fernandez, and it may be the most important tip of all!
Tip #4 - Be sure to breathe between shots, stay focused until the point is over, and HAVE FUN!

The quarterfinals are here and we are back with more great tips from our Brand Ambassador, Leylah Fernandez!
Tip #3 - Stay on your toes and be sure to do a split step every time your opponent hits the ball.
What is a split step? It’s just a small jump with both feet split apart that helps you reset your footwork, balance, and allows you to quickly move in any direction!

Thanks for a great performance at the Australian Open, Leylah! In one of the closest matches of the tournament so far, she pushed the #4 seed to the brink in two sets, falling 7-6(5) and 7-5.
Leylah will still be back with more great tips for our young players as the tournament moves into quarterfinal play. Keep watching!

Play is talked about as a break from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is the work of children.” Fred Rodgers
