TGA of Somerset & Hunterdon County

About

What began as a single program offered in the hallways of one school in Los Angeles, CA is now a nationwide network of passionate franchise owners. Trusted by families and schools for over 20 years, we are proud to use our platform to ignite a passion for play, develop a love of the game, and empower kids to Keep Swinging!® all while having fun!

In 2021, TGA joined the Youth Athletes United family of brands to advance the mission of positively impacting 1 million kids each year through sports.

We're committed to developing the whole person & player

We believe sports change lives and seek to make our students better players and better people. We strive to teach in ways that promote individual growth and development on and off the field, course, or court.

Our Team

Tosh Patel

Franchise Director / Owner

Santosh (Tosh) Patel is originally from Chicago, IL. He graduated from the University of
Illinois, in Champaign-Urbana, and remained in the state for most of his life. He met his
wife (from Jersey City, NJ) in 2009 and they got married in 2011. They have two sons,
who are both very active in sports. The family has lived in Somerset County since 2018.

After spending over 20 years in Corporate America and in various Executive roles
including; Finance, Customer Service, Digital Transformation, Payroll/HR Outsourcing
(and more), Tosh decided to begin a new adventure with TGA in early 2025.

TGA was a natural fit for Tosh’s passion and experience in helping others grow and
develop. With two sons of his own, teaching the fundamentals of various sports to kids
has always been a part of his day to day. Realizing that developing adults in Corporate
America is much like (and often harder than) developing youth in sports, this opportunity
introduced itself as a natural progression for him.

With their sons involved in many sports, they both noticed the way it brought the
community together (on and off the court or field). This sense, and feeling, of “belonging
within something larger”, specifically a community, overcame the two of them. It was the
biggest reason they decided not to move to warmer state in 2022, when another
opportunity presented itself to Tosh…and the biggest reason they decided to bring TGA
to Somerset &  Hunterdon County.
