We’re proud that TGA classes include academic components that help kids think as well as play. Learning how to keep score requires math skills — often some fairly advanced problem-solving. We often talk about geography when we discuss international competitions like the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup. And we introduce kids to many science concepts, including ball flight, spin and loft.
So here’s a science experiment related to the new rules of golf that took effect in January. You are now allowed to keep the flagstick in the hole when putting on the green, and there has been significant debate about the merits of leaving the flagstick in or taking it out.
