TGA of Southeast Michigan

Events are filling up fast, but there’s still time to join fall fun

Even though we aren’t holding traditional TGA after-school classes in school gyms, we have lots of safe outdoor options for fall. We now have four leagues, two parent-child events and 30 enrichment programs at school fields, parks and golf courses. Here is an update on availability:

LEAGUES (for experienced players)

We’re holding some fall after-school classes at golf courses that host our summer camps

Because all three of our fall leagues sold out and we had lots of people on wait lists, we added a fourth league on Saturdays at Somerset Park. Response from wait lists was very quick, but we still have seven openings. Saturday league begins Sept. 12 and run for six weeks. We have two age divisions. The 8-10 group plays a scramble format. Players in the 11-15 group play their own ball, and the top three of four count toward the team total.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS (for all levels)

Golf courses: Our four programs at Somerset Park in Troy are sold out, but we still have plenty of spots at Rammler in Sterling Heights, The Myth in Oakland Township and Maples in Novi. These are four-week programs, with classes from 5-6:30 p.m. each week. We have options on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

School fields: These programs are right after school, with one-hour classes for six weeks.  Check the list to see if your school is included.

Parks: We have weekday programs in the late afternoons, plus two on Saturday mornings. All are one-hour programs for six weeks. Northville Parks and Rec is sold out, but we have openings for all other classes.

PARENT-CHILD EVENTS (for family fun)

Our Sycamore Hills event on Saturday, Sept. 12, is sold out, but we have 15 openings for Sunday, Sept. 20, at Links of Novi. These are great opportunities to spend an afternoon and evening with your child. Price is just $79 and includes 9 holes for both players, plus cart, plus dinner afterwards.
