TGA of Southeast Michigan

If you love golf and love kids, join our TGA coaching team

We are always looking for new coaches to join our vibrant team. Our coaches range in age from 14 to some golfers in their 70s who can shoot their age. Most of our lead instructors are college students or adults who are retired, semi-retired or have flexible work schedules that allow some free time in late afternoons. Most of our assistant coaches are members of high school golf teams, but we also have quite a few adults.

You don’t have to be a great golfer, but you do need to be knowledgeable and passionate about the game. Of course you also need to be passionate about working with kids. These are paid positions. You won’t get rich, but you will earn some nice spending money.

We are very proud that more than 90 former students have become TGA coaches. Six college students or recent college graduates have advanced to become lead instructors — Adam Burghardt, Jack Glover, Jenna Goss, Mike Mercier, Brett Pawlowski and Ben Rush.

And 14 former students joined the assistant ranks in 2022 — Ahina Bajwa, Daphne Breen, Helen Buk, Blake Butt, Joseph DiStefano, Harshan Juttu, Brooklyn Haddad, Daniel Kraemer, Mila Menendez, Morgan McIntyre, Sam Salinas, Dante Salvatore, Alexander Steele and Hannah Wang.
