It’s often a lifelong dream to tee it up at Augusta National Golf Club for both professional and amateur golfers alike. So, to potentially do so as a junior would be an opportunity too good to pass up, right?
The annual Drive, Chip & Putt competition offers that experience, along with the fun of showing off skills learned in various TGA programs to friends and family. This free youth golf experience, put on by the USGA, Masters Tournament and the PGA of America, aims to help younger players begin challenging themselves against their peers by providing a fun opportunity for participants of all skill levels.
Open to boys and girls ages 7-15, there will be local qualifying events throughout all 50 states during the summer months. It’s a great opportunity to make friends in similar age groups, while having fun outside on the course.
The top performers at the local level will advance to various other qualifiers at some of the best golf venues around the country. All with the goal of earning an invitation to the finals at Augusta National on the eve of the 2020 Masters.
Our TGA coaches are always encouraging students to continue building their skills by registering for a variety of programs. These qualifying events can be great opportunities for parents to see how far they’ve come as young golfers.
Some TGA students have already experienced success in Drive, Chip & Putt qualifiers, but we know we have more future winners out there ready to shine!
